Although the carer will be living in with you, they would not generally expected to support with over-night care, known as a waking night, they would need their own room and access to storage facilities for their own food and drinks.

Care staff will work an average of 8 hours a day, this does not mean that they are only available to you for 8 hours but will dip in and out of your care when you need it most, they will still be on hand to support you throughout the day.

Carers do need a 2-hour break each day, this can be at a time which suits you and negotiated with your carer around your care needs. The carer is free to use this time to go out or may just relax in their own room but is not on duty.

If you are not able to be left alone for these 2 hours, you will need to arrange alternative cover for this period either with a family member, friend or a visiting domiciliary agency, this is not included in our cost.

Care prices will increase depending on your level of need and will be discussed with you at your assessment of needs.

Pricing starts at £1400 per week, this would typically be for an individual who is fairly independent but may lack confidence in their own ability and feel more comfortable having someone around to support with their day-to-day care needs such as personal care, support with showering and bathing, cooking, preparing drinks, light house including laundry and ironing.
